Cinnamon Vanilla Simple Syrup

Updated: Mar 27

It's time to elevate your beverages!

Simple syrups are the best way to elevate most beverages you enjoy today. It's simple to make right at home and the combinations of flavors are endless. My favorite, so far, is the Cinnamon Vanilla combo. I've added this loveliness to my hot teas, cold teas and even a whiskey. Typically, I am not a whiskey drinker, but when I added this syrup, well, it went down a lot smoother.

Cinnamon Vanilla Simple Syrup is fantastic with our Apolis, "Peach Pie"tea, an organic hand -crafted tea blended in Sumner, Washington and sold at Firelight Finds. If you've been to the shop, you may have chosen it to sample and most likely purchased it for yourself. It's that good.

Elevate your teas beverages and make this simple syrup. You won't be disappointed.

Ingredients:

1 cup White Sugar

1 cup Water

4 pcs Cinnamon sticks (3 - 4")

1 tsp Vanilla extract

Directions:

Pour sugar and water in a saucepan and heat over medium heat until sugar is dissolved.

Add cinnamon sticks and vanilla

Bring to a boil for 5 minutes and remove from heat

Cover and let sit for 3 hours, (yes 3 hours)

Once cool pour through a sieve into an airtight container. This can be stored in the refrigerator for a month, but let's face it, it probably won't last that long. This syrup can be used in coffee, teas and cocktails.
